Get Your Fall Veggies!
The Hub Farm will be taking a short break from our CSA as summer comes to an end, but we will start up again in mid-September! This means 10 more weeks of delicious Hub Farm produce grown with the help of DPS students!
The Hub Farm Fall CSA will run from September 16 through November 18 and will include delicious fall vegetables, such as kale, collards, arugula, broccoli, cabbage, salad mix, carrots, beets, onions, radishes, turnips, and more!
Pick-up each week will be on Wednesdays starting at 2:00pm at the Hub Farm, as well as at Durham School of the Arts (DSA) after 3:30pm upon request.
- Full box: (for larger families of four or more) $250 for 10 weeks = $25 worth of veggies/week
- Half box: (for individuals or smaller families) $150 for 10 weeks = $15 worth of produce/week
Although we’ll be taking a short break from our CSA, we’ll still have veggies for sale at the Hub Farm during this time! We will send out weekly emails with what produce is available in case you’d still like to stop by the farm and purchase produce individually.
Please consider donating an extra subscription for DINE (Durham’s Innovative Nutrition Education program) to help provide produce for their lessons at schools. DINE is a unique school and community-based nutrition education and behavior change program that targets at risk families and children that are eligible for SNAP benefits.
To subscribe to the Hub Farm Produce Box, contact us and let us know what size share you would like and if you’d like to donate an extra share. Please either drop of cash at the Hub Farm during our work hours (Monday, Wednesday-Friday, 9am-4pm), or make your check out to the Durham Public Schools Hub Farm with the memo “Fall 2015 Produce Box!” and mail it to:
